About the Doctors
Dr. Dennis J Ahern, DDS
General Dentist
Dr. Dennis Ahern started his practice in the town of Marlborough 33 years ago and has since been a part of the community. He received his undergraduate degree from St. Anselm College in Manchester, NH, and attended Georgetown University in Washington DC where he received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery. He is a member of the Massachusetts Dental Society, the American Dental Association, Worcester District Dental Society, and the West Metropolitan Study Club.
Dr. Ahern enjoys continuing education opportunities and technological advances available in dentistry today. He continues to enjoy meeting, seeing and treating patients old and new.
Him and his wife have raised their three children, who are all married and living in the area as well. When Dr. Ahern is not practicing dentistry, you can find him flying down ski slopes or water skiing up at his lake house in Acton, ME, or on a beautiful day, on the golf course!
Dr. Sanjiv Nehra DMD
General Dentist
Dr. Nehra received his Undergraduate degree from Boston College and attended Tufts School of Dental Medicine where he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree. Having completed a rigorous residency in Washington DC at the VA hospital, Dr. Nehra moved back to Massachussetts where he has been practicing for the past ten years. He is a member of The American Dental Association (ADA), the Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS), Worcester District Dental Socierty (WDDS), The International Team for Implantology (ITI), The Metrowest Study Club, and the National and Local Spear Study Club. Dr. Nehra is also a Preferred Provider for Invisalign.
Dr. Nehra likes to stay in touch with the latest developments in the dental field and incorporates these new technological innovations in the treatment of his patients. He partakes in continuing education courses to effectively bring the advances in the dental field to make the visit to the dentist a more pleasurable and informative experience for his patients.
As an ardent believer in giving back to the community, Dr. Nehra hosts an annual FREE clinic at his office providing FREE dental services to underprivileged children. He volunteers his time at local day care and elementary schools to educate children on the importance of good dental hygiene. He also supports various charities in the Marlborough community from the Boys and Girls Club, to sponsoring high school scholarships for colleges.
Born and raised in RI, Dr. Nehra is an ardent fan of all the Boston sports teams and is equitably passionate about all of his favorite teams: the Celtics, the Red Sox , and the New England Patriots! He is married and lives with his wife in Ashland. He is super excited these days, as him and his wife are expecting their first child. He is preparing for the arrival of the future New England Sports Fan with 'Baby' Red Sox and Patriots outfits!

Patricia Jeans
Receptionist
Pat has worked in the dental profession for numerous years in various capacities, both clinical and administrative. After graduating from school, she worked as a chairside dental assistant in offices both in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Pat has lived in Southborough for over 33 years and it is here that she has happily raised her three sons. For the past 25 of these years, she has worked for the office of Dr. Dennis Ahern, which is now Dental Associates of Marlborough. The part of her job she loves the most is the interaction with the wonderful people that come into our office. Over all these years, she is now seeing 2nd and 3rd generations of some long time patients!
The team here is like a second family to Pat. And, she takes great pride and satisfaction in knowing that, here at Dental Associates of Marlborough, we provide the very best and most innovative dental services to all our patients.
Over the years, Pat has enjoyed playing tennis, biking, cross country skiing. She is a seasoned veteran of the Boston Marathon, having run it six times consecutively!! Nowadays, she enjoys nice, long, relaxing walks.
Kristen Whitney
Receptionist
Kristen grew up in Marlborough and has raised her family here as well. She has worked with Dr. Ahern for over 20 years and loves the interaction with all the patients.
When she is not working, Kristen is busy tending to her enormous vegetable garden, the bounty of which she shares with all her coworkers. She lives in Marlborough with her husband.
Barbara Tosti Office Manager
Barbara is the newest addition to our family here at Dental Associates of Marlborough. She is replacing Dr. Nehra's wife who is getting busy in the family way now! Barbara graduated from the University of Vermont with a B.S. in Dental Hygiene. She began her career in Vermont at a periodontal office. Shortly thereafter, she was able to combine her love of her career with her second love - travel! She moved to Switzerland where she worked in a dental office for three years. There she really honed her skills and developed apassion for sharing successful prevention strategies with her patients.
Missing friends and family, she moved back to the States where she assumed a managerial position in the dental field. The transition from clinical to management was not planned, but she found it to be a welcome change. You may just see her on the clinical side sometimes, as she still maintains her dental hygiene license.
In her free time, she enjoys her large family, biking, cooking (and eating!) and gardening. She lives in Framingham, where she is originally from and, has not given up on her second love of travelling and takes the opportunity to do so whenever she can!
Christine Martine
RDH
Chris graduated from the Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene in Boston, MA in 1972 and received her Associates in Science from Norhtheastern University. She has been practicing dental hygiene for 37 plus years, 18 of which she has worked with Dental Associates of Marlborough.
Chris lives with her husband, David, of 35 years in Framingham. She has four grown children, Bill, Dee, Nick and Sash. Chris a proud grandmother of two adorable grandsons, Kyle and J.J., from her son Bill and his wife Lynette. When Chris is not working away at the dental office, she enjoys the fire pit her son built for her in the back yard doing crossword puzzles!
Kristine Henderson
RDH
Kris is a graduate of the University of R.I. with an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene and a Bachelors Degree in Human Sciences and Services. She has been actively practicing hygiene for over twenty years, seven of which have been part time with Dental Associates of Marlborough. She loves the family atmosphere at the office, the wonderful patients she sees and feels very fortunate to be a part of such a great and dedicated team.
Kris grew up in Westford and now lives in Bolton with her husband, JP, and their three boys and three dogs. When not working, Kris enjoys time with her family and friends, as well as running, biking and hiking.
Mary Weckback RDH
Mary grew up in Hopkinton, MA. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in hospitality at Northern Arizona University. Upon graduation, she moved to Hawaii and resided there for many years. In 2008 she obtained her Dental Hygiene degree in Asheville, NC. She recently returned to Massachusetts to be closer to her family.
Mary has a dedicated focus on preventative dentistry. She is committed to providing her patients with the most current education and treatment. She enjoys keeping current with continuing education an is thrilled to be a part of the team at Dental Associates of Marlborough.
In her time away from the office, May enjoys spending time on weekends with her sister in Vermont. She has traded her surfboard for skis to keep her busy in the winter. She also enjoys travelling, running, hiking, enjoying the music scene, and spending time in Boston cheering for her favorite teams!!
Jinx Clancy
Dental Assistant
Jinx was born and raised in White Plains, NY. She married her High School sweetheart after college and left New York to follow career opportunities. She has lived in Cleveland, Ohio, Altora, PA, and then on to Marlborough, MA, where she has enjoyed raising her family.
For the past 20 years, Jinx has worked as a Dental Assistant with Dr. Dennis Ahern and now with Dr. Sanjiv Nehra. She feels Dental Associates is a great place to work where the staff is great, the patients are wonderful, the facility has a warm atmosphere, and our Doctors are exceptionally talented.
Colleen Feltus
Dental Assistant
Colleen has been a dental assistant for sixteen years, eleven of which have been working with Dr. Dennis Ahern. She has experience in chairside assiting, and is certified with the MDA in radiology.
Colleen grew up in Hudson and enjoys seeing local friends and family in the office. She now lives in Littleton with her husband, Peter, and their children, Jacqueline, Julia, Caitlin, and John. The family is busy with dance lessons, clarinet practice, swimming, softball and of course studying! As a family they enjoy spending time at the family camp house on Lake Memphremagog in Canada during the summer.
In her free time, Colleen volunteers at the schools in her parish and has a great vegetable garden where she grows a variety of delish vegetables. Feel free to bring in any ideas for zucchini!
Rebecca M Hazard
Dental Assistant
Rebecca is the newest addition to the team at Dental Associates. Rebecca has been working as a dental assistant for the past 12 years. She graduated from the Massachusetts Regional Vocational Technical High School where she completed the four year dental assisting program in 1999.
Her #1 priority as a dental assistant is giving the best patient care possible. She absolutely loves her job! She has experience as a designer for the CAD/CAM CEREC 3 Technology which designs porcelain restorations in an hour. She also enjoys taking continuing education classes and working with the latest and greatest technology in dentistry.
When Rebecca is not working hard at the office, she enjoys spending time at her new apartment. She loves seeing her family and her adorable three year old nephew, who is the joy of her life. She also enjoys cooking, watching reality TV, playing cards, and dancing. One of her favorite places to spend her free time is at the beach or by the pool. She loves the ocean, swimming, and sun bathing. She grew up in Athol, MA and currently resides in Leomister, MA.
